After graduating from Charles University, he spent several years at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). He wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for the films: "Bobule" (The Grapes), "Rock Podvraťáků" (Rascals' Rock), "Rafťáci" (The Rafters), and "Nelásky" (Unloves). He worked as a dramaturge for the TV series "Redakce" (The Newsroom), "Místo v životě" (A Place in Life), "Život je ples" (Life is a Ball), and the film "Bestiář" (The Bestiary). He wrote the TV series "Vyprávěj" (Wonderful Times) and the television fairytale "Princezna a písař" (The Princess and the Scribe).

For Orbis Pictures, he wrote and directed the film “Jak přežít svého muže” (How to Survive Your Love). He wrote the TV series "Co ste hasiči" (Firefighters), "Mazalové" (Eyebrow’s Family), "Všechny moje lásky" (All My Loving), and developed the documentary series "Kočka není pes" (A Cat is Not a Dog) and "Rodinné stříbro" (Family Silver). He produced TV series "Lajna 3" (Line 3) and film Bloody Johann.

The films and TV series he participated in have received numerous awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at Premiers Plans, Best Student Film at the 36th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the Golden Nymph at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, 5-time winner in the TýTý Awards, Techné 2009, and many others.
